Nasceu na Eslovênia em 1958. Formado em direção teatral, publicou dezenas de livros e dirigiu espetáculos de teatro e ópera. Entre seus trabalhos no cinema, estão os longas-metragens "Suburbs" (2004) e "Landscape No2" (2008), ambos exibidos no Festival de Veneza, e "Inferno" (2014), apresentado no Festival de Busan. Também escreveu e dirigiu obras para a televisão eslovena.
Born in Slovenia in 1958. He has graduated in theatre directing and he has published dozens of books and directed theatre and opera performances. His filmography includes the features "Suburbs" (2004) and "Landscape No. 2" (2008), both presented at the Venice Film Festival, and "Inferno" (2014), screened at the Busan Film Festival. Möderndorfer also wrote and directed works for Slovenian television.
