Nasceu em Daca, Bangladesh. Participou do Berlinale Talents em 2008 e realizou os curtas "Moon Fairy" (2009), "Raising Flames" (2014) e "Remnants of Men" (2016). "Sal Em Nossas Águas" é seu primeiro longa-metragem.
