Nasceu no Cazaquistão, em 1993, e se formou em direção de cinema na Universidade Estadual de Cultura e Arte de Moscou, na Rússia. Seu trabalho está profundamente enraizado na rica história cinematográfica de sua terra natal, a Ásia Central. Dirigiu curtas-metragens como “Dreamystan” (2015) e “The Boy and the Elephant” (2018), além da instalação “I Don’t Play Like That” (2018). “Era” é seu primeiro longa-metragem.
Born in Qazaqstan, in 1993, he graduated in directing from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, in Russia. His work is deeply rooted in the rich cinematic history of his native Central Asia. He directed short films, including “Dreamystan” (2015) and “The Boy and the Elephant” (2018), and the art installation “I Don’t Play Like That”. “Era” is his first feature film.
