Nasceu na Bulgária em 1967. Formou-se pela National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), em Sófia, onde também foi professor. Dirigiu curtas-metragens, como "Roundabout" (2000) e "Erlkoenig" (2001), e o longa "Alienation" (2013, 37ª Mostra). "Ága" (2018) é seu segundo longa-metragem.
