Nasceu na Alexandria, Egito, em 1969. Diretor, produtor, roteirista e diretor de produção da Dream Procution – Egito. Formou-se em Direito na Universidade de Alexandria, em 1990, em produção e direção de cinema no Instituto de Cinema do Cairo, em 1994. Trabalhou com diretor-assistente na realização dos filmes Shams el-Zanati, dirigido por Samir Saif, The Captain, dirigido por Sayed Said, Mr. Karate, Very hot day e The Days of Sadat, dirigidos por Mohamed Khan. Em 2002, escreveu um livro sobre o documentarista Samir Ouf, bem como um livro sobre o cinema árabe independente, em colaboração a Hossam Elouan. Escreveu e dirigiu curtas-metragens, documentários e séries para televisão.
