Nasceu em Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzânia, em 1961. Atualmente, vive em Genebra, na Suíça. Graduou-se pela Universidade de Mumbai e pelo Instituto de Cinema e TV de Pune, na Índia. Já dirigiu filmes para a televisão indiana e atuou como crítico de cinema. É diretor dos longas-metragens "The Name of a River" (2002) e "Qissa: o Fantasma É um Viajante Solitário" (2013, 37ª Mostra).
Born in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, in 1961, he currently lives in Geneva, Switzerland. Singh graduated from the Bombay University and the Film & TV Institute of Pune, India. He has also directed films for Indian television and worked as a film critic. He is the director of the features "The Name of a River" (2002) and "Qissa: The Ghost Is a Lonely Traveller" (2013, 37th Mostra).
