Nasceu no Chile, em 1948. Estudou cinema no Chile e na Finlândia. Foi colaboradora de Miguel Littín e Patricio Guzmán. Documentarista e cineasta de animação, realizou: "Crónica del Salitre" (1971), "Dos Años en Finlandia" (1975) e "Así Nace un Desaparecido" (1977). Recebeu Menção Especial do Júri e o Prêmio Caracol no Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano (Havana, 1980); o Prêmio Raposa de Bronze da associação Filmi-kontakti no Festival de Tampere (Finlândia, 1981); e o Prêmio Especial do Júri no Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Lille (França, 1981).

She was awarded a Special Jury Mention and the Caracol Award at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema (Havana, 1980); the Bronze Fox Award from Filmi-kontakti at the Tampere Film Festival (Finland, 1981); and the Special Jury Prize at the Lille International Short Film Festival (France, 1981).
