Nasceu no Egito. Estudou Medicina e Cinema no Cairo. Dirigiu uma série de documentários e curtas-metragens em seu curso no National Film Institute de Giza. Mudou-se para Londres, onde estudou cinema europeu na Universidade de Westminster e cinema digital da Metropolitan Film School. Anaphylaxis, filmado nos históricos Ealing Studios em Londres, é seu primeiro longa-metragem.
Cinema and medicine; England and Egypt: duplicity has shaped Ayman’s life. Raised in Egypt, Ayman pursued medicine and film-making before moving to England to further both careers. He first began making films while practicing medicine in the early 1990s in Cairo. As part of his training at the prestigious National Film Institute in Giza, he directed a series of short and documentary films. Eager to advance his skills, Ayman made his home in London and studied European Cinema at Westminster University and digital filmmaking at the Metropolitan Film School. In 2007, he directed his debut feature film, Anaphylaxis, shot at London`s historical Ealing Studios. The film is Ayman’s directorial debut.
