O diretor nasceu em Patras, na Grécia, em 1963. Formou-se na Escola de Cinema Stavrakou, em Atenas, onde dirigiu dois curtas em Super 8 e um em 16 mm. Desde 1998, faz parte de uma produtora independente, a Notos. Entre suas direções figuram Behind the Mask (para TV; 1990), Ismael (curta; 1994) Monasteries on the Egnatia Highway (documentário; 1999) e Cidade Efêmera (2000), seu primeiro longa.
The director was born in Patras, Greece, in 1963. He graduated from the Stavrakou School of Cinema in Athens where he directed two short films in Super 8 and one in 16 mm. Since 1998, he has been part of an independent producer, Notos. Films he has directed include Behind the Mask (for TV; 1990), Ismael (a short film; 1994), Monasteries on the Egnatia Highway (documentary; 1999), and Ephemeral City (2000), his first feature.
