Nasceu em 1960. Formou-se em Cinema pela NYU em 1984. Dirigiu o curta "Dogs" (1988), antes de estrear na direção de um longa em 1989, com "The Unbelievable Truth". Seu longa seguinte, "Confiança/Trust" (1990), ganhou o prêmio do público na 15ª Mostra. Dirigiu outros curtas ("Ambition", "Surviving Desire" e "Theory of Achievement"), exibidos na 16ª Mostra, juntamente com seu longa "Simples Desejo/Simple Men". Dirigiu também "Amateur" (1994) e "Flerte" (1995).
