Nasceu em Recife, Pernambuco, em 1970. Dirigiu o primeiro longa em 2004, “Nina”, exibido na 28a Mostra. Realizou também “O Cheiro do Ralo” (2006), vencedor dos prêmios do Júri e da Crítica da 30ª Mostra, “À Deriva” (2009), exibido no Festival de Cannes, “12 Horas” (2012), “Serra Pelada” (2013), “Yoga Arquitetura da Paz” (2017, 41ª Mostra), “Tungstênio” (2018) e “Anna” (2018, 43ª Mostra).
