Nasceu em Recife, Brasil, em 1970. Iniciou a carreira na área da arte contemporânea. Patrocinada pelo British Council, foi artista residente na John Moores University, Inglaterra. Estudou cinema no Institut National de L’audiovisuel, em Paris. Dirigiu, entre outros, os curtas-metragens “Superbarroco” (2008) e “Praça Walt Disney” (2011), codirigido por Sérgio Oliveira, e premiado no IndieLisboa, além de exibido no Festival de Locarno. Realizou os premiados longas “Estradeiros” (2011), também em parceria com Sérgio Oliveira, “Amor, Plástico e Barulho” (2013, 37ª Mostra), “Açúcar” (2017, 41ª Mostra) e “Carro Rei” (2021), apresentado no Festival de Roterdã.
