Nasceu em Córdoba, Espanha, em 1969. Estudou literatura e língua inglesa na Universidade de Granada e cinema na ECAM, escola de cinema espanhola. Produz séries para a TV espanhola. Dirigiu três curtas-metragens e o longa "Clandestinos" (2007). "La Partida" (2013) é seu segundo longa-metragem.
