Nasceu em Bailleul, França, em 1958. Realizou, ainda, filmes como "29 Palms" (2003), "O Pecado de Hadewijch" (2009), "Camille Claudel 1915" (2013), "Mistério na Costa Chanel" (2016), "Jeannette: A Infância de Joana D’Arc" (2017) e "Joana D’Arc" (2019, 43ª Mostra).
