Formou-se como diretora pela Escola de Cinema da Dinamarca em 2011. “Holiday” (2018), filme que marca a estreia de Isabella na direção de longas, foi exibido na 42ª Mostra e no Festival de Sundance. Também coescreveu o roteiro do filme “Border” (2018), de Ali Abbasi, vencedor da seção Um Certo Olhar do Festival de Cannes, e dirigiu episódios das séries de televisão “The Servant” (2019-2023) e “Industry” (2020-2024). “Kalak” é seu segundo longa-metragem.
