Born in Essen, Germany, in 1982. His first film was the middle-length documentary "Do the Right Thing" (2007). He studied film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. His first short film was "Clean Up" (2008), followed by the middle-length "Ein Brief aus Deutschland" (2011) and the short "Brasa" (2012). "Metamorphosen" (2013) is his first feature film.
