Was born in Québec, Canada, in 1967. He directed his debut feature, "August 32nd on Earth", in 1998, followed by "Maelstrom" (2000), awarded with the International Critics Prize at Berlinale. He has also directed the short films "120 Seconds to Get Elected" (2006) and "Next Floor" (2008), which was awarded with the Best Short Film prize at the Critic’s Week in Cannes.
