Recently discharged from a mental hospital, Albert returns to the family farm, which is now under the care of his cousin, Hans. When Hans is hospitalized, Albert finds the perfect chance to prove that he is also capable of working as a farmer. This situation, however, doesn`t last long. Albert is again marginalized by the local inhabitants when Hans leaves the hospital. Constantly ridiculed, he ends up having outbursts of eccentricity and emotional lack of control, having to be hospitalized again.
Recém-saído de um hospital para doentes mentais, Albert retorna à fazenda da família, que está agora sob os cuidados de seu primo, Hans. Quando Hans é hospitalizado, Albert encontra a chance perfeita para provar que também é capaz de trabalhar como fazendeiro. Essa situação, no entanto, dura pouco. Albert volta a ser marginalizado pelos habitantes locais quando Hans sai do hospital. Constantemente ridicularizado, ele acaba tendo explosões de excentricidade e descontrole emocional, tendo de ser novamente internado.
