Set in the 18th century, this drama tells the story of a young apprentice, Tolly, who saves a highwayman, Black Jack, and also prevents a girl, Belle, from ending up in an institution for the mentally ill. The girl`s parents then offer a reward for whoever captures Tolly. As they fear betrayal from Black Jack, Tolly and Belle join a circus troupe, but through a series of circumstances end up separating. In the end, Black Jack repents and decides to reunite them.
Ambientado no século 18, este drama conta a história de um jovem aprendiz, Tolly, que salva um salteador, Black Jack, e ainda impede que uma garota, Belle, vá parar em uma instituição para doentes mentais. Os pais da moça oferecem então uma recompensa para quem capturar Tolly. Como temem uma traição da parte de Black Jack, Tolly e Belle se juntam a uma trupe de circo, mas por uma série de circunstâncias acabam se separando.
