Documentary on the capital of Brazil as from the observations by three characters from the city, in situations lived in one single day: a young university student, the wife of a diplomat, and a travelling salesman for mirrors. Using the life and encounters of these persons, other characters gradually come onto the scene. Subjects such as the well-known solitude of the inhabitants of Brasilia, excessive space, distances, the absence of squares, modes of relationship, and integration engendered by the architecture itself are discussed in various segments. The utopia that guided the construction of the new capital for the country, at the end of the fifties, is revisited 36 years later, in the light of reality.
