Domingo makes saints and is given an order to make a statue, natural size, of Our Lady, and deliver the image at a village far from his native town. In the course of his efforts, he is joined by gambler Joaquim who makes available an old truck. In the long journey from the high lands at 4.300 meters in altitude, at the start, down to their destination in the heart of the jungle, Religious Domingo with his moral code and Joaquim with that of a gambler, have diverse opportunities for confrontation and negotiation.
