Kerou is a college student age 17. Like other girls her age, she is in search of herself. Somewhat of a dreamer, she still lacks self-assurance and she misses the state of negligence and freedom typical of childhood. Shihao is a handsome seductive boy with a touch of the rebel in his blood. He is quite the favorite among the girls. Yuezhen, Kerou?s best friend, feels jealous of him and is angry at him. Although Shihao is out to win the championship swimming meet at school, he feels much drawn by Kerou?s mysterious ways and would like to win her. One day, Kerou suddenly comes on the scene, when Shihao is in the middle of a training session, for a heart-felt talk. What she is to tell him is to affect him deeply. Together, the two teenagers are to have their first glimpse of the pleasures of the adult world, but equally of the disappointments of the adult world. The movie belongs to a series of six films (Tales of Changing China), from which the 25th Mostra showed Beijing Bicycle, by Wang Xiaoshuai, and Betelnut Beauty, by Lin Cheng-Sheng.
Kerou é uma estudante colegial de 17 anos. Como outras garotas de sua idade, ela está em busca de si mesma. Um pouco sonhadora, ainda lhe falta autoconfiança e ela sente saudades do estado de negligência e liberdade típico da infância. Shihao é um garoto bonito e sedutor, com um quê de rebeldia no sangue. Ele é o preferido entre as garotas. Yuezhen, a melhor amiga de Kerou, sente ciúmes e raiva dele. Shihao, apesar de estar mais interessado em ganhar o campeonato de natação da escola, sente-se muito atraído pelas maneiras misteriosas de Kerou e gostaria de conquistá-la. Um dia, de repente, Kerou aparece no meio de um treino de Shihao e abre seu coração. O que ela lhe diz vai mexer profundamente com seus sentimentos. Juntos, os dois adolescentes vão ter o primeiro vislumbre dos prazeres, mas também dos dissabores, do mundo adulto. O filme pertence à série “Histórias da China em Transformação”, da qual a 25a Mostra exibiu Bicicletas de Pequim, de Wang Xiaoshuai, e Vício e Beleza, de Lin Cheng-Sheng.
