Arriving in Rio de Janeiro by car, Sérgio and Felicidade, in the company of their teenage daughter, Betinha, discuss the impasse that their marriage has reached. In a hotel, Felicidade tries to kill her husband with a razor. Convinced that Sérgio is dead, she flees with her daughter back to São Paulo, until she notices that she is being followed on the road.

Num hotel, Felicidade tenta matar o marido com uma navalha. Convencida de que Sérgio está morto, ela foge com a filha de volta a São Paulo, até perceber que está sendo seguida na estrada.
