Coprodução entre Brasil, Chile e Argentina, o longa-metragem é composto por três segmentos que tem o amor como tema. Coutinho dirige um deles, "O Pacto". Nesse episódio, Mário e Inez se conhecem numa “festinha iê-iê-iê”. Mário é um típico representante da Jovem Guarda, o que leva o pai de Inez a classificá-lo de cara como cafajeste. Inez é uma mocinha de formação puritana, ferozmente defendida pelo pai. Mário aposta com os amigos que vencerá as resistências de Inez e a conquistará. Não pensa e não tem condições de pensar em casamento. O processo de conquista segue entre os sustos e temores de Inez, até a ideia do pacto.
A Brazilian, Chilean and Argentine coproduction, the feature film consists in three segments that have love as the main theme. Eduardo Coutinho directs the segment "O Pacto". In the segment, Mário and Inez meet at a party. Mário is the typical follower of the “Jovem Guarda” movement, which leads Inez’s father to immediately judge him as a rascal. Inez is a young woman with a Puritan upbringing, strongly protected by her father. She does not (and cannot) even think about getting married. The process of conquest follows amongst fears and alarms, until the idea of the pact comes up.
