Sinopse
Um cineasta grego (chamado aqui de Narrador) tem seu filme banido pelos coronéis em seu próprio país. Decide então voar para Paris, onde se prepara para fazer um filme político criticando o estado de repressão em sua terra natal. Surge em cena uma famosa atriz grega, Melina, que vai interpretar o papel principal, personagem baseado na vida de Lilly, uma mulher de Atenas que teve destacado papel na resistência, mas que depois foi presa no Bureau da Polícia de Segurança, conhecido centro de tortura. O filme será produzido por Jules, o marido de Melina. Uma jovem jornalista francesa, Marina, está escrevendo a reportagem “O Próximo Filme Estrelado por Melina: A História de Lilly”. Na apuração das informações, ela entrevista o Narrador e se torna sua amante. Daqui em diante, ele vai deparar com situações inesperadas, que lhe dão a idéia para um perfeito contraponto em seu roteiro de absurdos.
A Greek film maker (referred to here as the Narrator) has his film banned by political chiefs in his own country. He then decides to fly to Paris, where he prepares to make a political film criticizing the state of repression in his native land. On scene is a famous Greek actress, Marina, who is to play the main role, a character based on the life of Lilly, a woman from Athens who played an outstanding role in the Resistance, but that later was arrested by the Bureau of Security Police, a renowned center for torture. The film is to be produced by Jules, Melina’s husband. A young French journalist, Marina, is writing a report on “The Next Film Starred by Melina: The Story of Lilly”. In verifying information, she interviews the Narrator and becomes his lover. Henceforth, he will meet with unexpected situations that give him the idea for perfect counterpoint in his plot of the absurd.
