Sinopse
Na costa sul do Irã, uma população miserável que não tem onde morar se estabelece num velho petroleiro abandonado. No comando da embarcação está o capitão Nemat, que tenta a todo custo persuadir os donos do navio e as autoridades navais a não confiscarem a embarcação. Seu interesse está em continuar controlando as atividades comerciais dentro do navio, do qual também vende partes da estrutura. Sem saber que destino lhes aguarda, a pobre comunidade segue sua vida. É uma história protagonizada por aqueles cuja ignorância os faz confiar em quem está sempre disposto a deles se aproveitar.
On the southern coast of Iran, the poverty-stricken population with nowhere to live take over a derelict oil tanker for an abode. Captain Nemat commandeers the ship. He endeavors, at all costs, to dissuade the owners of the vessel and naval authorities from expropriating the tanker. His main interest lies in continuing to control his own trade dealings inside the ship, including selling off parts of the actual structure of the boat. The impoverished community carry on in their day-to-day life with no idea as to what their fate may be. This is a story where the main characters, in a state of ignorance, are led to trust others, ready to take full advantage and exploit them.
