An Italian blockbuster based on the novel "The Skin" by Curzio Malaparte. Director Liliana Cavani returns to form with hyper-realism to describe the American invasion of Italy at the end of World War II. The Americans take the place of the Germans, and the main stage for this invasion is Naples.
