Sinopse
O argentino Luis Puenzo, diretor de A História Oficial, realizou Algunos que Vivieron a partir de depoimentos de sobreviventes que se instalaram na Argentina e de imagens de arquivo. Puenzo explora ainda as conexões existentes entre alguns momentos negros da história da Argentina com o genocídio, como as afinidades do presidente Juan Perón com o regime nazista, já que ele foi responsável pela entrada no país de muitos criminosos de guerra. “Optei por priorizar os depoimentos de uma dezena de sobreviventes. Não filmei nada. Cada sobrevivente conta a sua própria história e, juntas, elas se tornam um coro. Temos que estar conscientes que o Holocausto pode acontecer novamente em qualquer lugar”, disse o diretor. O documentário contou com a assessoria do historiador Haim Avni.
Argentinian Luis Puenzo, director of The Official Story made Some Who Lived as from the statements of survivors who settled in Argentina and from the scenes on file. Puenzo also dwells on existing connections, in some of the darker moments in the history of Argentina, with the genocide, such as an affinity between President Juan Perón and the Nazi regime, in that he was responsible for the admittance into the country of many war criminals. “I opted to prioritize the statements from a score of survivors. Each survivor tells his own story and, together, they make up a chorus of voices. We must be aware that the Holocaust might well occur again anywhere”, says the director. Historian Haim Avni acted as adviser for the documentary.
