Sinopse
Peter, um engenheiro que trabalha para uma multinacional com poucas preocupações ambientais, é enviado a Pera Kassiros, uma ilha no mar Egeu, para supervisionar a construção de uma usina elétrica. Ao chegar, ele logo percebe que as condições na ilha são bem diferentes do esperado. Com o passar do tempo, ele se encanta com a misteriosa Areti. Apesar de seus esforços, o projeto não anda bem e ele é forçado a deixar a ilha. Logo após seu retorno à sede da companhia, a situação toma um rumo inesperado e Peter tem que enfrentar um dilema moral: ajudar a companhia a usar a ilha para tratar seus resíduos tóxicos ou lutar para que isso não aconteça.
Peter, an engineer working for a multinational of dubious environmental sensibilities, is sent to Pera Kassiros, an island somewhere in the Aegean, to oversee the construction of an electrical power plant. Very soon, Peter realizes that conditions on the island are very different to what he expected. As time goes by, he is enchanted by mysterious Areti, but despite his best efforts, the project keeps going bad and he is finally forced to leave the island. Shortly after his return to the company’s headquarters, things take an unexpected turn, and Peter is now faced with a moral dilemma: helping the company to use the project in the island as a front for the processing of its toxic waste or fighting against it.
