Sinopse
O nigeriano Okwe vive em Londres ilegalmente. De dia ele dirige um táxi, à noite trabalha como recepcionista num hotel. Divide um apartamento com outra imigrante ilegal, Senay, uma turca que trabalha como arrumadeira e é secretamente apaixonada por ele. Certo dia, Okwe acha um coração humano dentro do banheiro de um dos quartos do hotel. Conversando com um amigo que trabalha no necrotério de um hospital, descobre que muitos imigrantes sacrificam um rim para facilitar a obtenção da cidadania britânica. Começa a desconfiar então que o gerente do hotel, Sneaky, um espanhol, está ligado ao tráfico de órgãos. Ao saber disso, Senay faz um acordo com Sneaky: vende o rim em troca de dois passaportes. Com eles, pretende viajar para Nova York, um antigo sonho. Okwe, que já fez a cirurgia e se arrependeu, tenta impedir a mutilação da amiga e se oferece para ser operado em seu lugar.
Nigerian Okwe is living in London illegally. In the daytime, he drives a taxi, and at night, he works as a hotel receptionist. He shares a flat with another illegal immigrant, Senay, a Turkish girl who works as a maid and is secretly in love with him. One day Okwe finds a human heart in a bathroom of one of the rooms in the hotel. From a friend who works in a hospital morgue, he learns that many immigrants will give up a kidney to obtain British citizenship. He begins to feel suspicious that the hotel manager, Sneaky, a Spaniard, is connected to the traffic in human organs. When she realizes this, Senay comes to an agreement with Sneaky: she will sell him a kidney in exchange for two passports. With the passports, she intends to travel to New York, a former dream. Okwe, who has undergone the surgery and regretted doing so, tries to impede mutilation of his friend and offers to be operated in her place.
