Um filme de estrada em ritmo de country music. A começar pelo título, que homenageia a famosa cantora do gênero. Garoto ingênuo, Ralph abandona casa e família e cai na estrada, tentando realizar seus planos de fazer sucesso como astro country. Tem 18 anos e leva no bolso uma passagem para Nashville, a Meca da country music. Na estrada, conhece uma cantora exótica, de cabelos vermelhos e olhos verdes, que se chama Patsy. Para complicar, ela está acompanhada do namorado, um cara envolvido com drogas. Depois de uma parada num motel barato, surge a confusão. A polícia entra em cena e Ralph e o namorado de Patsy vão parar atrás das grades. Ela escapa, mas tudo indica que no futuro ainda vão se cruzar de novo, talvez em Nashville. Bastam algumas semanas para que o menino aprenda as lições de uma vida toda e tenha material para transformar suas experiências em música.
A road movie to the rhythm of country music - as from the title,a tribute to the famous singer of the kind. A naive boy, Ralph abandons house and family and hits the road in an endeavor to carry out his plans and be a success as a country music star. He is 18 and, in his pocket, he has with him a passage to Nashville, the Mecca of country music. On the road, he meets an exotic singer, a redhead with green eyes named Patsy. To complicate matters, she has her boyfriend with her, a man caught up in drugs. The confusion starts as from a stopover at a cheap motel. The police enter on the scene and Ralph and Patsy's boyfriend wind up behind bars. She runs away, but all is indicative that in the future, they will meet again, possibly in Nashville. There are only a few weeks for the boy to learn the lessons of all of a lifetime and to have material to transform his experiences into music.
