The real-life events surrounding the trial and execution of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg in the 1950s United States are shown through the eyes of Daniel, the couple's son. The film follows the trauma of two children who watch their parents being taken away by the FBI and accused of spying for the Soviet Union. Twenty years later, Daniel is married and has a son, but his sister, Susan, seems to have never recovered from her childhood nightmares.
