Esse filme é resultado da criatividade do "Het Werkteater", um grupo de atores diferente de qualquer outro na Holanda e no mundo. É tipicamente produto dos anos 60, sendo uma espécie de cooperativa onde ninguém é patrão e todos têm chances iguais de atuar. Nesse drama o grupo relata a história de um homem que fica doente e precisa enfrentar uma nova realidade. Em tratamento, ele se sente apenas uma peça na engrenagem hospitalar. Mesmo assim consegue forças para ajudar os outros pacientes a romper com certas regras e liberar seus sentimentos, abrindo desta forma uma brecha no sistema.
This film is the result of the creativity of "Het Werkteater", a group of actors unlike any other in Holland or the world. It is a typical product of the 60s, a sort of cooperative where no one is the boss and everyone has equal chances to perform. In this drama, the group tells the story of a man who falls ill and must face a new reality. Undergoing treatment, he feels like just a cog in the hospital machinery. Nevertheless, he finds the strength to help other patients break certain rules and release their feelings, thus opening a breach in the system.
