Winner of the Silver Bear at the 1979 Berlin International Film Festival, the film focuses on the behavior of a group of pregnant women in a maternity ward. For them, the world outside the hospital no longer seems as important as they await the moment of childbirth. Despite their differences, they stand by one another and share the same thoughts and questions: “What will my child be like when born?”.
