Sinopse
Nove camponesas vivem num vilarejo nas montanhas da Turquia. Elas trabalham arduamente em casa e no campo. Para alegrar um pouco suas vidas, pretendem escrever e encenar uma peça baseada no cotidiano delas. Elas se reúnem na escola, onde antes sequer entravam, e começam a escrever suas histórias. Observadas pelos homens do vilarejo, elas escrevem a peça The Outcries of Women. O documentário descreve todo esse processo e como as mulheres se transformaram durante esse período.
Nine peasant women living in a village in the mountains in Turkey, work hard inside the house and out in the fields. To get more out of life, they plan to write and to stage a play based on their everyday life. They meet in the school where they had previously scarcely set a foot, and begin to write their stories. Observed by the men in the village, they write a play The Outcries of Women. The documentary describes all of this process and how the women evolve during all of this time.
