Sinopse
Em agosto de 1990, dois homens chegam armados de espingardas ao vilarejo de Puerto Hurraco, localizado em uma região remota do sudoeste da Espanha. Duas famílias vivem no lugar: os Cabanillas e os Izquierdos. No calor árido da Espanha rural, ambas estão lutando entre si há anos, provocando muito derramamento de sangue. Isabel, a filha mais velha de uma das famílias, tenta saber a origem verdadeira desse terrível conflito. Isabel descobre, com a ajuda de seu novo namorado `Chino`, que tudo começara por causa de um amor não correspondido. Uma noite, membros dos dois lados se encontram e decidem resolver a disputa de uma vez por todas. Apesar de a região já ter sido cenário de várias tragédias, o ocorrido choca a Espanha.
In August, 1990, two men arrive at the village of Puerto Hurraco, located in a remote region in Southeast Spain, armed with rifles. Two different families live in the village: the Cabanillas and the Izquierdos. In the arid heat of rural Spain, for years, both families have been engaged in a feud that has led to a great deal of bloodshed. Isabel, the oldest daughter of one of the families, tries to ascertain the true origins of this fearful conflict. With the help of her new boyfriend, Chino, she finds that it all started because of unrequited love. One night, the members of both parties meet to decide the dispute once and for all. Although the region has been the scene of tragedy on several occasions, the events prove a shock in Spain.
