Filme polêmico que examina a colaboração do Exército da República da Irlanda com o Estado Nazista da Alemanha durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. As duas organizações fizeram um acordo para quando a guerra chegasse à Inglaterra e o país fosse invadido. Os irlandeses tiram 30 mil homens em sua armada no início dos anos 30. Os militares irlandeses emprestaram submarinos aos alemães, treinaram soldados pára-quedistas, forneceram mapas atualizados das regiões a serem invadidas. Mas o conluio foi marcado por erros de comunicação e muita desconfiança mútua. O filme mostra a incompetência do exército irlandês e uma estranha ineficiência da burocracia germânica. Conta ainda a história de homens capturados, presos e interrogados sobre eventos que desconheciam e a destruição de tudo pelos próprios nazistas quando Berlim foi invadida, para ocultar os crimes.
A controversial film that examines the collaboration of the Army of the Republic of Ireland with the Nazi State in Germany during the Second World War. The two organizations came to an agreement for when the war got to England and the country was invaded. The Irish took 30 thousand men out of the army in the early thirties. The military lent submarines to the Germans, trained parachute troops, and supplied up-to-date maps of the regions to be invaded. However connivance, was marked by errors in communication and by much mutual mistrust. The film shows the incompetence of the Irish army and a strange inefficiency on the part of German bureaucracy. The film also tells the story of men captured, imprisoned, and interrogated about events they knew nothing about, and the destruction of all by the Nazis themselves when Berlin was invaded, to mask crime.
