The question concerning the borders of the territories of what was once the USSR has proved to be a potential time bomb. The documentary is an eclectic patchwork of materials (fiction and non-fiction) led by Kolya, who is of Moldovan nationality, but declares himself a national of Transnistria. Fragments draw the viewer to the collective imaginary of the Soviet Union. The film aims to make an abstract comment on Vladimir Putin’s latest political stands of “war without war, occupation without occupation”.
