A Bolívia celebra o aniversário dos 50 anos da morte de Ernesto “Che” Guevara. Julia, uma professora do interior, é convidada a contar sua história: ela abrigou membros da guerrilha e serviu-lhes uma sopa de amendoim, enquanto Che recitava um poema sobre flores, poucas horas antes de morrer. O convite, porém, é retirado depois que outras mulheres aparecem reivindicando como sendo delas, e não de Julia, a história “da sopa e das flores”.
Bolivia celebrates the 50th anniversary of Ernesto “Che” Guevara’s death. Julia, a teacher from the countryside, is invited to tell her story to the world: she gave shelter to the guerilla and served them peanut soup, while Che recited a poem about flowers, only a few hours before this death. The invitation, however, is cancelled when other women claim the “soup and flowers” story as their own.
