Nasceu em São Paulo em 1967. Diretor, roteirista e produtor, fez especialização em roteiro no Binger Filmlab da Universidade de Artes Visuais de Amsterdã. Começou a carreira em 1989 como assistente de direção. Escreveu, dirigiu e produziu o curta Uma História do Futebol, indicado ao Oscar em 2001. Também dirigiu o documentário A Raça Síntese de Joãosinho Trinta (2009, 33ª Mostra) e os longas de ficção Natimorto (2009, 33ª Mostra), adaptada do livro homônimo de Lourenço Mutarelli, e Trinta (2014, 38ª Mostra). Na televisão, dirigiu episódios da série francesa Petit Myths Urbains (2003) e da brasileira PSI (2014), escrita por Contardo Calligaris. Atualmente, trabalha na adaptação para o cinema de Filho Eterno, livro de Cristovão Tezza.

Started his career in 1989 as an assistant director. He wrote, directed and produced the short A Soccer Story (1999), nominated for the Oscars in 2001. Directed the documentary The Synthesis of a Race (2009, 33rd Mostra), as well as the features Stillborn (2009, 33rd Mostra), based on the homonymous book written by Lourenço Mutarelli, and Trinta (2014, 38th Mostra). On television, he directed episodes of the French series Petit Myths Urbains (2003) and the Brazilian show PSI (2014), written by Contardo Calligaris. He is currently working on the film adaptation of Cristovão Tezza’s book Filho Eterno.
