Nasceu na França em 1954. Um dos fundadores do grupo de teatro Reptile Cambrioleur, iniciou sua carreira em 1987 como diretor de documentários musicais. Junto com Elisabeth Perceval, realizou importantes curtas-metragens, vídeos, documentários e instalações cinematográficas, por meio dos quais questiona tanto a forma cinematográfica quanto as transformações contemporâneas. Como cineasta, fez longas-metragens como A Noite Sagrada (1993), Pária (2000), A Ferida (2004), A Questão Humana (2007) e Low Life (2011), todos exibidos na Mostra. Seus mais recentes filmes, Mata Atlântica e Sexta-Feira 13, serão exibidos na 40ª Mostra.
Born in France in 1954. He is one of the founders of Reptile Cambrioleur Theater Group, and started his career in 1987 as a director of musical documentaries. Alongside with Élisabeth Perceval, he has made important short films, videos, documentaries and cinematic installations, through which they are developing a cinema that questions cinematographic form as much as contemporary changes. As a filmmaker, he directed the features The Sacred Night (1993), Pariah (2000), The Wound (2004), Heartbeat Detector (2007) and Low Life (2011), all of them screened at Mostra. Their most recent films, Mata Atlântica and Friday The 13th will be exhibited at the 40th Mostra.
