Nasceu em São Paulo, em 1964. No início dos anos 1980, iniciou um curso de atuação com Wolney de Assis (1937-2015). Realizou filmes em super-8, o que não o afastou do teatro. do cinema brasileiro, Brant graduou-se em cinema pela FAAP e começou a carreira dirigindo videoclipes para bandas como Titãs. Dirigiu curtas, como Dov’è Meneghetti? (1989, 14ª Mostra) e Jó (1993, 17ª Mostra), antes de realizar o primeiro longa, Os Matadores (1997). Dirigiu também Ação Entre Amigos (1998, 22ª Mostra), O Invasor (2002, que será exibido nesta 43ª Mostra), Crime Delicado (2005, 29ª Mostra), Cão sem Dono (2007), O Amor Segundo B. Schianberg (2010, 33ª Mostra), Eu Receberia as Piores Notícias dos Seus Lindos Lábios (2011, 35ª Mostra) e Pitanga (2016), vencedor do Prêmio da Crítica de Melhor Filme Brasileiro na 40ª Mostra.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1964. In the early 1980s, he started na acting course with Wolney de Assis (1937-2015). Brant made super-8 movies, which did not take him away from the theater.
