Camilo Torres was a Catholic priest, a member of the Colombian high bourgeoisie, who died fighting with the guerrillas in 1966. The first prominent priest in Latin America to join the revolutionary struggle, Camilo was a friend of writer Gabriel García Márquez and Alfonso López Michelsen.
