Único artista americano a desempenhar um papel importante nos movimentos dadaísta e surrealista, ele também foi responsável por diversas inovações técnicas na arte moderna, no cinema e na fotografia. Man Ray realizou influentes curtas-metragens de vanguarda, além de ter colaborado com Marcel Duchamp na fotografia de “Anemic Cinema” (1926) e atuado como operador de câmera em “Balé Mecânico”, de Fernand Léger (1924). Morreu em Paris em 1976 aos 86 anos.

Man Ray directed a number of influential avant-garde short films, and also assisted Marcel Duchamp with the cinematography of his film “Anemic Cinema” (1926), and operated the camera on Fernand Léger’s “Ballet Mécanique” (1924). He died in Paris in 1976 at the age of 86.
