Nasceu em Chillán, Chile, em 1971. Bacharel em Comunicação Social e Jornalismo pela Universidade do Chile em 1996. Trabalhou como crítico de cinema, fotógrafo e jornalista. Dirigiu vários curtas-metragens, entre eles La Ofrenda (2003); Desde Lejos (2006), vencedor de melhor curta do Festival de Cinema de Santiago (Sanic, 2006); e Lo que Trae la Lluvia (2007). Huacho é seu primeiro longa-metragem.
He was born in Chillán, Chile, in 1971. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communications and Journalism from Universidad de Chile in 1996. He has worked as a film critic, photographer and journalist. He has directed several short films, among them La Ofrenda (2003); Desde Lejos (2006), winner of best short film of the Santiago Film Festival (Sanic, 2006); and Lo que Trae la Lluvia (2007). Huacho is his first feature film.
