Nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, em 1964. Formou-se em jornalismo no Rio e estudou cinema na Universidade de Nova York. Além do trabalho em séries de televisão, Jardim dirigiu documentários como “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz” (2005), que levou o Prêmio da Juventude e o Prêmio do Júri da 29ª Mostra, “Janela da Alma” (2001), codirigido com Walter Carvalho, vencedor do Prêmio do Júri e do Prêmio do Público de melhor documentário da 25ª Mostra, e “Lixo Extraordinário” (2010), ao lado de Lucy Walker e Karen Harley, premiado no Festival de Berlim e no Festival de Sundance, vencedor do Prêmio Itamaraty na 34ª Mostra e indicado ao Oscar de melhor documentário. Também realizou os longas-metragens ficcionais “Amor?” (2011), “Getúlio” (2014) e “Atravessa a Vida” (2020).

He also made the fiction features “Amor?” (2011), “Getúlio” (2014) and “Crossroads” (2020).
