Sinopse
Um dia na vida de um grupo de pessoas. Algumas se conhecem, outras não, mas ao final dessas 24 horas, nenhuma delas poderá continuar vivendo exatamente como antes. Rickard é um cirurgião muito bem-sucedido que dá como certa sua promoção até ser barrado por ter colocado em risco a vida de alguns pacientes. Ao mesmo tempo, descobre que sua amante está grávida. Enquanto isso, Agnes, sua mulher, prepara a mudança da família, sem saber que o novo emprego não deu certo. Anita é uma mulher divorciada que sobrevive do tráfico de drogas e alimenta um surdo rancor contra o ex-marido, por tê-la trocado por uma esposa bem mais jovem do que ela e pelo fato de o novo casal ter ficado morando naquela que era sua casa. Anders é um pedreiro que trabalha dia e noite para manter o padrão de vida da mulher e da filha, uma situação que o está levando a tornar-se gradativamente um estranho na vida das duas. Num jantar na casa do cirurgião, as emoções mal-disfarçadas virão à tona, arrancando pouco a pouco as máscaras de cada um dos convidados.
One day in the life of a group of people. Some know each other, others not, but at the end of these 24 hours, none will be able to continue living exactly as before. Rickard is a successful surgeon who is sure of a promotion until he was barred for having placed the lives of some of his patients at risk. He concurrently discovers his mistress is pregnant. Meanwhile, Agnes, his wife goes ahead with plans for a family move, unaware the new job has not come off. Anita is a divorcee surviving from drug traffic who nurtures a grudge against her ex-husband for having exchanged her for a wife much younger than she is and for the fact the new couple are now residing in what was previously her house. Anders is a bricklayer working day and night to keep up the lifestyle of his wife and daughter, in such a way that he gradually becomes a stranger in the lives of both. At a dinner given at the surgeon?s house, the ill-concealed emotion will surface, gradually prying off the mask for each one of the guests.
