For the city of Knight Ridge, Massachussets, there is yet another severe winter to come. Good news for Tommy, Kev, and Paul, three friends who work at keeping the streets clean of snow. All of them have lived there ever since they were born, and they studied together up to secondary school. Now, bearing on thirty, their amorous dilemmas have changed drastically. Tommy is under suspicion by his girlfriend Sharon ever since his ex, Darian, returned to town bringing with her a yuppie husband and son. Paul is so obsessed with his dreams about statuesque top models in magazine ads, he can not settle down to Jan, his girl friend of seven years. Jan's patience is giving out, and she begins to flirt with an older man, a butcher. Michael, another of the trio's ex-school friends is the only one at peace with his love life, and is married, with two children. Another member of the group, a musician, Willie, is coming back to town and will have much to learn from the coarse local nymphet, Marty, and beautiful stranger Andera.
