Sinopse
O filme é parte cinema mudo, parte uma ópera kitsch. A aclamada soprano canadense Valdine Anderson interpreta a obra Powder Her Face, de Thomas Adés, sobre amor, perda e decepção. Um mítico grupo de marinheiros saem das profundezas do Lago de Winnipeg para seduzir as mulheres da região e roubar-lhes os pertences mais preciosos.
The film is part silent movie, part a kitsch opera. The celebrated Canadian soprano singer Valdine Anderson renders the piece Powder Her Face, by Thomas Adés, about love, loss and deceit. A mythic group of sailors come out from the depths of the Winnipeg Lake to seduce the local women and steal their most precious goods.
